Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Night shift, 3x12 hours: 18:45–07:15

Unit Details

Emergency department setting
Patient ratio: 1:3–5
Approximate volume: 250 visits/day
101 beds
Floating is required between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health
No blocked scheduling
Weekend requirement: at least 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, and may be as frequent as every other weekend
Unit orientation: 24 hours
Navy/white scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
PALS
MOAB
Must pass EKG testing before start

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed
Additional call-offs or RTO on unit may result in cancellation and DNR status
Locals are accepted
EKG/dysrhythmia competency testing is required for this specialty
