Description

Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology

Location

  • Bozeman, Montana

Employment Type

  • Contract

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week
  • 36 hours per week
  • May require weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Valid Montana RN license
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification
  • 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Coordinate patient care and follow-up for device clinic patients
  • Interrogate and manage cardiac implantable electronic devices
  • Monitor and document patient response to device therapy and programming changes
  • Perform ordered diagnostic tests and treatments, including EKGs, event monitors, Holter monitors, and Zio Patch application, removal, and data processing
  • Coordinate surgical and procedural interventions related to cardiac implantable electronic devices
  • Support patients undergoing MRI studies, surgical procedures, and other interventions
  • Provide patient and family education related to devices, arrhythmia management, and electrophysiology procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and departmental initiatives

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced clinical setting
  • Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, medications, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations

Additional Notes

  • On-time completion of required education is expected per applicable requirements
  • Candidate must live at least 90 miles from the facility
