Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
  • Setting: Medical-surgical
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 4x12 hours
  • Hours per Week: 48
  • Contract Length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience with Epic
  • Ability to manage heparin drips
  • Colostomy care
  • Feeding tube care and management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line care and management
  • PICC line management
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Non-invasive airway management
  • Traumatic brain injury care
  • Surgical drain management

Schedule & Work Expectations

  • 36 or 48 hours accepted
  • Must be comfortable with a 1:5-6 patient ratio
  • Floating may be required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding
  • Every other weekend required
  • RTO after booking is not allowed

  • Unit orientation includes 12 hours of unit orientation and 16 hours of organizational education
