MRI Technologist
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length
- 20 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Nights
- Start times may vary by department needs
- No call or standby
- Weekend coverage may be required
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (MR) or ARRT
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans and produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Provide patient care, positioning, and procedure education
- Navigate EMR/PACS systems
- Follow regulatory requirements for safe and appropriate care
- Scan a mix of outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients
- Work with routine and complex MRI protocols, including neuro, body, and MSK studies
- Safely scan implants, including pacemakers, stimulators, and aneurysm clips
Work Environment
- Level 1 trauma center
- Uses GE MRI equipment
- 5 MRI magnets onsite
- May work with patients under sedation or anesthesia
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
- Drug screen required
- Non-billable orientation: 12 hours
- Scrubs are not provided; solid-colored scrubs are required
