Description

Registered Nurse — Orthopedic/Trauma

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • One holiday and one eve during the holiday period required
  • No call
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Orthopedics (2 years of experience)
  • Orthopedics experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience with Epic

Clinical Focus

  • Pre-op and post-op orthopedic care
  • Elective and trauma patients
  • Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
  • Orthopedic trauma
  • Use of rapid response teams
  • Safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic equipment, including CPM, knee immobilizer, and bone foam

Work Environment

  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6, with possible stretch to 1:7

Compliance Notes

  • Candidate must be aware they are being submitted to the facility and have reviewed the job description
  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST on the Wednesday prior to the start date
  • Candidate must be aware of the required pass/fail EKG exam for RNs
