Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician
Job Details

Required Qualifications
- Medical Lab Technician (1 year of experience)
- Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
Onboarding Requirements
- MMR documentation or proof of immunity
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date
- Physician statement signed by an MD, DO, NP, or PA within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background check
- Massachusetts CORI
- Education verification

Housing
- Shared housing available, with no guests or pets; candidate must have own transportation
- Housing agreement required if moving into shared housing
Role Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing to support patient care
- Assist with laboratory services functions
- Follow established procedures and state and federal regulations
- Perform blood collection, including venipuncture, capillary, and pediatric collection
- Review results and logs for errors or oversights
- Generate complete and accurate reports
- Verify, report, and document alarm values
- Participate in QA/QI studies and quality control
- Maintain inventory, perform maintenance and calibrations, and troubleshoot instrument problems
- Support training of new staff and assist with additional duties as needed
