Description

Travel RN - Med Surg

Location

Overland Park, Kansas

Job Type

36 hours per week

Contract Length

12 weeks

Shift

12-hour day and night shifts
Rotating every 3rd weekend, sometimes every other weekend if needed

Unit Overview

36-bed orthopedic and spine unit with private rooms
Fast-paced med/surg acuity unit
Cares for orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
BLS

Preferred Qualifications

NIH certification

Common Procedures

Wound care and dressing changes

Additional Notes

Uses Meditech
Remote telemetry monitoring is used on the unit
