Description
Travel RN - Med Surg
Location
- Overland Park, Kansas
Job Type
- Travel
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 12 weeks
Shift
- 12-hour day and night shifts
- Rotating every 3rd weekend, sometimes every other weekend if needed
Unit Overview
- 36-bed orthopedic and spine unit with private rooms
- Fast-paced med/surg acuity unit
- Cares for orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH certification
Common Procedures
- Wound care and dressing changes
Additional Notes
- Uses Meditech
- Remote telemetry monitoring is used on the unit
