Travel RN - Ortho

Overview

  • Location: Denver, Colorado
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Specialty

  • Orthopedic / medical-surgical acute care nursing

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Orthopedics experience
  • Med Surg experience
  • OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year

Preferred Experience

  • Orthopedic/spine experience

Unit Details

  • 36 beds
  • Typical patient ratio: 5:1 for RNs
  • Common procedures include total joints and spine surgery
  • Equipment includes immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment

Work Environment

  • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, 1-2 techs, and 1 secretary
  • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, RNs to volume, and 1-2 techs
