Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location

Maryville, Illinois

Job Details

Travel/contract position
13-week assignment
Night shift, 4x12 hours
Shift time: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Weekend coverage: every 3rd weekend
First-time travelers may be accepted depending on experience
Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Non-Stress Testing (NST)
Oxytocin Challenge Testing (OCT)
Sterile vaginal examination
Triage of obstetrical patients
Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
Spiral electrode placement
External and internal fetal monitoring
IUPC placement and calibration
Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Circulating for C-section

Clinical Experience and Skills

Labor and delivery
NST

Health and Immunization Requirements

Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation based on birth year
Hepatitis B documentation
Varicella documentation
TB questionnaire if applicable
Flu vaccination is not required
COVID-19 medical and religious exemptions are allowed
