Description

Respiratory Therapist

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in New Brunswick, New Jersey
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • Every other weekend required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Specialty Experience

  • 1.5+ years of experience required
  • PICU/NICU experience is highly preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Respiratory Therapist (1.5 years of experience)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NBRC

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NRP

Work Setting and Duties

  • Adult and pediatric patient mix
  • May float between PICU, ED, and adult critical care
  • Responsibilities include blood gas collection, vent/BiPAP/high-flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest physiotherapy

Equipment Experience

  • Servo I & U
  • V60 BiPAP

Additional Notes

  • Time off must be submitted with the application and approved before offer
  • EPIC is used for charting
