Telemetry Nurse

Job Overview

• Location: Harvey, Illinois
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
• Weekly hours: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating required
• Local candidates accepted
• Block scheduling not available
• RTO limit: 7 days max

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Must be able to pass an EKG strip test at orientation
• Must be competent in rhythm strip interpretation

Role Highlights

• Fast-paced acute care setting
• Chronic ventilator experience preferred
• Experience with EKG use
• Preferred familiarity with initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem
