Occupational Therapy Assistant
Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant license in Massachusetts
- Occupational Therapist Assistant (1 year of experience)
- Occupational Therapist Assistant experience within the last year
- Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Administer interventions such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive or assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Document required treatment information and maintain patient records
- Record treatment minutes accurately
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Assist with obtaining necessary durable medical equipment or supplies
- Supervise and support students under Occupational Therapist guidance
Practice Expectations
- Follow NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- Active state licensure or registration when applicable
