ICU

Job Overview

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

Stepdown role that frequently floats to ICU and MedSurg units
Floating is required across Stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg
Candidate must be comfortable working in both Stepdown and ICU settings
EOW required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Med Surg experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Details

Travel experience is preferred
Ratios: Stepdown 1:4–5, ICU 1:2, MedSurg 1:5–6
Unit has 21 beds
Non-titrating drips used
Common patient care includes cardiac, vascular, CIWA, peritoneal dialysis, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, home ventilators, wound care, nebulizers, and hemodialysis in the dialysis department
Scrubs: royal blue and white
Orientation occurs every Wednesday
EMR: Meditech
