Description
Staff RN
Location
- Lancaster, Ohio
Employment Type
- Contract
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 4 x 9-hour shifts
- Weekend call: one day Saturday or Sunday every 6 weeks
- Night call: 4–5 shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- BLS
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
Preferred Experience
- Previous registered nursing experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care using the nursing process
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
- Document nursing care accurately and clearly
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely
- Carry out physician orders as written
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care and report malfunctions
Physical Requirements
- Heavy work, including frequent patient handling and lifting demands up to 50–100 pounds occasionally

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions
- Ability to remain calm in urgent situations and supervise/direct nursing assistants professionally
