Description

Staff RN

Location

  • Lancaster, Ohio

Employment Type

  • Contract

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Day shift: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • 4 x 9-hour shifts
  • Weekend call: one day Saturday or Sunday every 6 weeks
  • Night call: 4–5 shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • BLS
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year

Preferred Experience

  • Previous registered nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care using the nursing process
  • Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
  • Document nursing care accurately and clearly
  • Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
  • Administer medications and perform treatments safely
  • Carry out physician orders as written
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care and report malfunctions

Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work, including frequent patient handling and lifting demands up to 50–100 pounds occasionally

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions
  • Ability to remain calm in urgent situations and supervise/direct nursing assistants professionally
