Job Overview

• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Required Qualifications

• Current active compact RN license
• AHA BLS
• NIHSS
• 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience
• 1 travel assignment
• Trauma level II experience
• Recent EPIC experience

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Clinical interview required
• Start date: 8/24
• Bi-weekly orientation
• First to float within skillset
• May float to nearby campuses with 2 hours’ notice
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday
• No call requirement

Clinical Setting

• 41-bed unit
• Typical patient population includes post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF
• Common skills include remote tele, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, heparin drips, blood and blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are emphasized

Additional Notes

• No local candidates within 40 miles
• Teaching hospital environment; may require precepting students and new hires
• Scrubs must not display competing health system or agency logos
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
• COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
