Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Location: Harvey, Illinois
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Floating: Required
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Accepted
- Block scheduling: Not accommodated
- RTO limit: 7 days max
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS
Compliance / Onboarding Requirements
- Orientation modules must be completed before clearance/start
- Photo for badge
- Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit mask within 1 year of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 2 business days of signing contract
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 2 business days of signing contract
- Measles immunity or vaccination series
- Mumps immunity or vaccination series
- Rubella immunity or vaccination series
- Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or declination
- Varicella immunity, vaccination series, or declination
- Drug test within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination/documentation for the 2025–26 season, or approved exemption
- COVID and flu exemption forms are required if requesting an exemption
