Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Location

  • Issaquah, Washington

Job Type

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 26 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 4x12 hours
  • 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Washington
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • NRP
  • FHM
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS

Clinical Setting

  • Labor and delivery unit
  • 8 labor rooms
  • 4 triage rooms

Key Responsibilities

  • Circulate
  • OB-GYN
  • Post-op
  • Pre-op
  • Scrub
  • Low-risk antepartum
  • Low-risk labor and delivery

Procedures and Equipment

  • Blood and blood product administration
  • Cardioversion/defibrillation
  • Cooling/warming blanket
  • Drains
  • Epidural pumps
  • PCA pumps
  • Syringe pumps
  • Wound vac
  • Heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate administration
  • Attends all deliveries
  • Attends high-risk deliveries
  • GYN surgeries
  • Couplet care
  • Transition nursery

Staffing and Float

  • Staffing ratio: 1:1-3
  • Float to postpartum and NICU based on skill set

Important Notes

  • Local candidates are paid at the same rate
  • Candidates from other Providence facilities may be eligible if separated for at least 3 months
  • Active compact license is honored at Swedish facilities
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
