Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery

Location

New Lenox, Illinois

12-hour shifts

Contract Length

Role Summary

Provides labor and delivery care for women during childbirth
Monitors mother and baby
Coaches mothers during labor
Assists physicians
Prepares patients and families for the stages of birth
Supports breastfeeding after delivery

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Illinois
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
ACLS
BLS
NRP

Preferred

Travel experience

Unit Notes

Birthing center averages 200 births per month
Labor and delivery patient ratio: 2:1
Delivery or C-section patient ratio: 1:1
Epidurals and IV Pitocin ratio: 2:1
