Description

RN - Tele

Location

  • Thornton, Colorado

Employment Type

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Unit Overview

  • Telemetry unit with 18 beds
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1
  • Uses Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Telemetry (1 year of experience)
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • Ortho Trauma experience
  • Stroke experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • NIH Certification
  • Trauma/orthopedic experience
  • Neuro/stroke experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Neurovascular checks on limbs
  • Frequent ambulation and repositioning
  • Orthopedic precautions
  • Comprehensive pain control

Work Environment

  • Teamwork-focused unit
  • Handles trauma, orthopedic, and standard telemetry patients, including chest pain, stroke workups, chronic cardiac conditions, TBIs, blunt force trauma, poly trauma, SCIs, GSWs, and stabbings
