Unit Overview
- Telemetry unit with 18 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1
- Uses Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- ACLS
- BLS
- Ortho Trauma experience
- Stroke experience
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH Certification
- Trauma/orthopedic experience
- Neuro/stroke experience
Key Responsibilities
- Neurovascular checks on limbs
- Frequent ambulation and repositioning
- Orthopedic precautions
- Comprehensive pain control
Work Environment
- Teamwork-focused unit
- Handles trauma, orthopedic, and standard telemetry patients, including chest pain, stroke workups, chronic cardiac conditions, TBIs, blunt force trauma, poly trauma, SCIs, GSWs, and stabbings
