Speech-Language Pathologist — NICU Rehabilitation

Role Overview

  • Contract position
  • 40 hours per week
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • No weekends, no call, no holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Wisconsin
  • Speech Language Pathologist (4 years of experience)
  • Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • CCC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified neonate therapist
  • Experience with Bayley 4

Clinical Focus

  • Speech therapy in the NICU
  • Feeding therapy for fragile feeders
  • Preemie neuro assessment
  • Works with infants under 36 weeks
  • Common patient types include premature infants, infant feeding disorders, congenital disorders, craniofacial abnormalities, RDS, and cardiac conditions

Work Environment

  • 20-bed unit
  • Census typically 14–16
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team
  • On-site provider coverage
  • Support from nurses, another speech therapist, and the OT team
  • No floating

Orientation

  • Up to 5 days of unit orientation

  • First-time travelers are accepted
