Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• No call required
• Floating required as needed
• Royal blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist (2 years of experience)
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT (MR)
• ARRT (R)
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
• Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting

Preferred Skills

• Adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma
• MRI procedures and anatomy including abdomen, breast, brain, chest, pelvis, spine, extremities, and vascular studies
• Contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs
• PACS, GE, Siemens

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Blocked scheduling
• Floating may include NHRMC and NHRMC Ortho
• May be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response coverage
• Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur

Orientation

• Hospital orientation occurs during week one
• Unit orientation includes 12 hours
• Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel the start date

Compliance and Screening

• Background check
• Education verification
• Drug screen
• Physical exam
• Fit testing
• TB screening
• Immunization/documentation requirements for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and flu
• Annual compliance training and required facility acknowledgements
