Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Neurosurgery experience

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH certification
• Neuro experience

Assignment Details

• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• 36 or 48 hours may be scheduled; if 48 hours are worked, overtime is not billed until after 48
• Float required
• Weekend requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Travelers may be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response duties
• Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, with possible reassignment to units as needed

Unit Information

• Neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses
• Manager schedules
• 2 orientation shifts on the unit after hospital-based orientation
• Navy scrubs

• RTO maximum: 7 days

• Prior travel experience not required
