Description

RN Acute Care / Med-Surg Adult

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Setting: Acute care / Med-Surg adult unit
Employment type: Contract
Shift: 12-hour nights, including weekend rotation; call rotation required with 1 call shift per 2-week period

Overview

This role provides nursing care for adult acute care and Med-Surg patients. The unit is seeing increased census due to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute/chronic illnesses.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Observation experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Schedule Expectations

  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Must participate in call rotation and take 1 call shift every 2 weeks when requested due to staffing needs

Housing

  • Studio apartments and small one-bedroom apartments are available near the hospital for an additional cost
  • Housing includes Wi-Fi, utilities, on-site laundry, and is fully furnished
  • No pets allowed

Additional Notes

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
  • Colorado CAPS registration is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain
