Description

Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Night shift: 18:45–07:15
36 or 48 hours per week can be supported
Contract length: 13 weeks or longer
Local candidates are accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Telemetry experience with 2 years of experience
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Management of dysrhythmias
Proficiency with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix, and heparin

Skills Needed

Telemetry
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Dysrhythmia management
Experience with cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin

Assignment Details

Patient ratios: 1:5–6
Floating is required to other telemetry units
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days in a 6-week period
36 hours of orientation

Clinical Setting

Telemetry patients may include chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker, or defibrillator cases
Works with a heart failure navigator

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
RTO after booking is not allowed
Scrubs are navy and not provided
