Description
Home Health RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Rosedale, Maryland
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides and coordinates home nursing care based on physician orders and agency policies
- Uses the nursing process to direct care
- Supervises and evaluates home health aides and licensed practical/vocational nurses
Patient Care Setting
- Home visits
- Periodic office meetings
- Average patient load: 5–8 patients per day
- Common case types include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Home Health experience
- 1 year of Home Health experience
- Home Health experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- Experience with Homecare Homebase
- Experience with OASIS
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Scrubs required
- Charting system familiarity required: HomeCare HomeBase used within the last 6 months
- OASIS proficiency required for RNs who have used OASIS within the last 6 months; retraining is required if not used within that timeframe
