Peoria, Illinois

Schedule
- Days
- 8 hours per day
- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Cytotechnologist with 2 years of experience
- Cytotechnologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CT (ASCP)
Key Responsibilities
- Screen clinical specimens for evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions
- Mark abnormalities, render diagnoses, and determine cases for quality control or pathologist review
- Perform routine quality control and cellular evaluations for specimen adequacy
- Receive, identify, and log specimens
- Assist with specimen collection and fine needle aspiration procedures
- Prepare specimens for microscopic examination
- Maintain compliance with CAP requirements

- Manager interview
- Negative drug screen required
- Drug-free campus
- Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles
- Non-billable orientation: 12 hours
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
- Call-off policy: equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
