Description

ICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 26 weeks
  • Start preference: Preference should be noted in the submission
  • Holidays: Required
  • Time off: No requested time off in the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: May float to other ICU and Med Surg units as needed
  • First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Med Surg experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS

Clinical Setting

  • Mixed ICU and PCU patient population
  • Ventilated patients may be assigned at a 2:1 ratio
  • High-acuity patients such as cooling, CRRT, or similar cases may be assigned 1:1
  • Med Surg floating assignments may involve ratios of approximately 1:5 to 1:7
