Job Overview

• Contract length: 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• NRP
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Post Partum experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree

Additional Requirements

• Skills checklist completed within 1 year
• If COVID vaccinated, vaccination card must be provided

Role Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments
• Assess and manage pain, including patient and family education
• Develop, revise, and evaluate the plan of care
• Provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
• Administer medications safely using the five medication rights
• Create and evaluate teaching plans based on patient learning needs
• Perform technical and manual nursing skills within scope of licensure
• Maintain safe patient care practices and reduce risk of healthcare errors
• Communicate and coordinate with patients, families, physicians, and other departments
• Document care according to current standards and policies
• Operate equipment safely and correctly
• Supervise and coordinate patient care as needed
• Maintain annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose waived testing
