Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Orthopedics experience
Experience with Epic

Additional Requirements

First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted within the stated radius rule
Must be willing to float as needed to other units or campuses where qualified and competent
Weekend requirement: every other weekend, 6 weekend shifts
RTO, block scheduling, and special scheduling requests must be submitted with the application and are subject to facility approval
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Unit Overview

26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit
Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Common diagnoses include cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIA, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
Common procedures include bedside lumbar puncture, post-cath care, post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT angiography, and heparin drips
Typical ratio: 1:5-6
