Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours
Hours: 36 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
EPIC electronic health record experience
Orthopedics experience

Schedule / Assignment Details

12-hour night shifts
36 or 48 hours per week may be offered
Every other weekend required
Floating to other med-surg units within the facility may be required
Block scheduling may be available
RTO after booking is not allowed

Unit Details

Fast-paced orthopedic and spine unit
Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 5-6:1, with flexibility up to 7:1 in extreme cases

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
Charge nurse experience
Level I trauma experience

Compliance / Onboarding Notes

Holiday RTO is not approved
Up to 7 days of RTO is allowed for auto-offer consideration
Additional call-offs or RTO on the unit may result in cancellation and do-not-return status
