Hospice RN Travel Contract

Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate home nursing care based on physician orders and agency policies.
• Directly supervise and evaluate home health aides and licensed practical/vocational nurses.
• Perform home visits and periodic office meetings.
• Typical caseload is 5–8 patients per day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Hospice experience within the last year
• Hospice (1 year of experience)
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Driver's License
• Experience with Homecare Homebase
• Experience with OASIS

Schedule and Workload

• Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Occasional weekend coverage may be needed.
• No on-call requirement.
• Productivity expectation is 25–30 weekly units.
• Territory coverage is in Southern New Hampshire, with travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.

• Local candidates are accepted.
• Scrubs are the dress code.
• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
• The commute to the first patient and from the last patient is not billable.
• Housing or lodging is not mentioned.
