Description
RN - Med Surg
Job Overview
- Travel RN position in Birmingham, Alabama
- Specialty: Med/surg; neuro acute care
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend
- Call: not required
- Float: other units in the acute care division, including facilities within a 25-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Neuro/post-stroke acute care experience
- Dysphagia screening experience
Preferred Experience
- TR band management
Unit Details
- 24-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- General medicine patients
- General hospital equipment for an acute care unit
Work Environment
- Professional, adaptable, hardworking, patient-centered
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
- Fingernails must comply with TJC and CMS guidelines
- Shoes must be close-toed with backs
