Medical Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Battle Creek, Michigan
• 26-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a rate differential
• Will accept 36- or 48-hour workweeks

Unit Details

• Observation unit with 10 beds
• Typical patient ratio on days is 1:4-5; may increase to 1:7 when paired with an RN/LPN team
• Focus is rapid reassessment and discharge readiness
• Will float to other Med Surg units, typically about once per week depending on need
• Works with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and techs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Scheduling Notes

• Works every other weekend
• Holiday time off is not guaranteed and holidays are usually required
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or approved at this time
