Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg
Location
- Des Moines, Iowa

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Heparin drip/titration experience
- Patient care experience in general, gynecology, and breast surgery
- Patient care experience in abdominal, flaps, and ENT procedures
- Experience with Epic
Schedule / Assignment Details
- Orientation is on 9/28 only
- Required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
- Traveler will float across all campuses
- NBO: 16 hours
Unit Details
- Medical-surgical unit
- Bed size: 24–26
- Typical ratios: 1:4–6 on days, 1:5–6 on nights
- Patient population includes general, gynecologic, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT cases
- Heparin is used on the unit

- EPIC is used on this assignment
- Navy blue scrubs, tops and bottoms, solids
- Past employees of the organization’s FTE, PRN float pool, or certain travel roles may be restricted from returning based on the stated separation policy
