MICU Travel/Contract RN Job
Location
- Dayton, Ohio
Shift
- Night shift
- 4x12 hours
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1.5 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Travel experience
Unit Details
- 40-bed, fast-paced, high-acuity ICU
- Target patient ratio: 1:2-3
- Bedside procedures include endoscopy, bronchoscopy, trach, and G-tube placement
- Frequently recovers patients immediately post-op
- Special equipment includes ICP monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac monitoring, BIS, and train-of-four
Work Expectations
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
- First to float at the facility’s discretion
- May float to other medically appropriate units, including high-risk respiratory/COVID care areas
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs required
- N95 fitting is required before working on the unit unless PAPR is offered or needed
- Requests for time off must be submitted with the initial application; no time off will be added after an offer is made
