Description

PCU/Oncology Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
36 or 48 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Oncology experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Sickle cell experience
Chemo certification
Level 1 or 2 experience
Travel experience

Unit / Role Details

Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units
Target patient ratio is 1:4, with assignments up to 1:5–6
Mixed-acuity oncology and hematology unit
May care for patients receiving blood products, chemotherapy, drips, PCA therapy, and wound care
ONS certification allows RNs on the unit to administer chemotherapy

Scheduling / Assignment Expectations

No block schedule
Must be available every other weekend and holiday
First-to-float assignment policy applies
May float to other campuses within the health system’s local area
Low-census cancellation policy applies during the contract

Other Notes

Navy blue scrubs required
N95 fitting is required before working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is used or needed
RTO must be requested with initial submission; no RTO added after offer
