Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Evenings
Required qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- 5 years of experience preferred as a credentialed respiratory care practitioner
- Adult intubation skill
Job responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic respiratory care across patient populations
- Review and maintain care plans
- Perform patient evaluations and adjust care as needed
- Support distressed newborn and C-section care
Schedule
- Will not work alone
- Call as needed
- Every other weekend
Unit details
- No floating
- 250-bed hospital
- 12-bed ICU
Orientation and training
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- Up to 3 weeks of department-specific training
- EPIC training required
- Preceptor check-off required before orientation is completed
