Description
Behavioral Health Nurse
Location
- Helena, Montana
Job Type
- Travel/Contract
Schedule
- Night shift
- 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
Setting
- 82-bed children’s hospital
- Primarily serves children and adolescents with suicidal ideation, ADHD, and spectrum disorders
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Montana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Behavioral Health (1 year of experience)
- Behavioral Health experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Adolescent patients
- Milieu management experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Requirements
- Unexpired government-issued photo ID
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Online facility modules before orientation
- Physical exam within the last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire, if applicable
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization/titer documentation
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination, when applicable
Notes
- Locals accepted at travel rate
- CPI certification is preferred; the facility will provide the class if needed
