Medical Lab Scientist
Overview

- Location: Newberg, Oregon

- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Shift: Day (4x10 hours) 11:00–21:30 / Evening (5x8 hours) 14:00–22:30
- Hours per week: 40
Work Setting
- Short-term acute care facility
- Level IV trauma center
- 60 beds
Schedule Expectations
- On-call is required as needed
- Weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis after full competency
- The schedule may vary and can include night shifts after training
- 10-hour shifts may be scheduled as 4x10s
- If scheduled for four consecutive night shifts, there will be at least 24–48 hours off before the next assignment
Required Qualifications
- Medical Lab Scientist (1 year of experience)
- Medical Lab Scientist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Blood Bank experience
Additional Notes
- No floating between units
- Scrub color: any color; business casual is also acceptable for MLT
- Parking is free
