Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas
• Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
• Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
• CCC
• Experience in a(n) Long Term Care setting
• Experience in a(n) Rehabilitation setting

Experience Notes

• New graduates are accepted if they have Level II experience; Level I observation experience is not sufficient

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
• Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the supervisor and care team
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain required documentation and treatment minutes
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed
• Supervise and support CFY or student speech-language pathologists
