Registered Nurse — Orthopedic/Trauma
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Greensboro, North Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- One holiday and one evening shift during the holiday period required
- No call
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Orthopedics (2 years of experience)
- Orthopedics experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
Clinical Focus
- Pre-op and post-op orthopedic patients
- Elective and trauma patients
- Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
- Ortho trauma
- Use of rapid response teams
Work Environment
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6, with possible stretch to 7
- Safe patient handling equipment available
- Ortho equipment includes CPM, knee immobilizer, bone foam, and others

- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of strict attendance expectations
- Compliance must be completed by 12 noon EST on the Wednesday before the start date
- Candidate must be aware of the required pass/fail EKG exam
