Description
Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: Day shift; start time varies between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
Shift Length: 8 or 10 hours
On-call: Yes
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
- Interventional Radiology Technologist (3 years of experience)
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)
- IEMA
- BLS
- Associate degree
- Cath Lab Technologist experience
Schedule / Work Expectations
- No weekend requirement at this time
- On-call may be up to 10 days per month when fully staffed; currently about 2 days per week
- May help with general x-ray when no interventional radiology procedures are being performed
Role Details
- Imaging position; not an RN
- Performs diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures
- Uses IV and contrast competency
- Cleans, inspects, and stocks imaging equipment and rooms
