Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
- Experience in a large critical care facility with 300 beds or more
- Experience in critical care
Assignment Details
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- No call
- No floating
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- Team lead available on each shift
- Hospitalist and intensivist available 24/7
Clinical Setting
- Respiratory Therapy department
- Cares for general med, intermediate, and ICU patients

Orientation
- First 12 hours include training and equipment review
- Additional two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor before working independently
Additional Notes
- Candidate must provide middle initial and requested time off
- Negative drug screen required
- Scrubs are not provided
- Local rate applies within 50 miles
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours
