Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• ARRT

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients of all ages
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed
• Prepare patients for exams and provide procedure education and instructions as appropriate
• Follow MRI safety standards and department policies and procedures
• Perform MRI studies and administer contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols
• Assist radiologists with MRI procedures as requested
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and supplies, including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
• Report equipment malfunctions to a supervisor
• Operate the hospital computer system
• Perform assigned supervisory functions
