Registered Nurse (RN) — Progressive Care Unit

Job Overview

Location: Lima, Ohio
Employment type: Temp

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Post-operative open heart care experience
Chest tube and other drain management experience
Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms
Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
Experience assisting with chest tube removal
Experience assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires
Management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
Use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices
High-flow oxygen and other oxygen delivery systems experience

Required Experience

Post-operative open heart care experience
Chest tube and other drain management experience
Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing/responding to rhythm changes
Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
Experience assisting with chest tube removal
Experience assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires
Experience managing temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
Experience using and troubleshooting non-invasive ventilation devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems

Work Expectations

Must float to all units within skill level
Expected to float to units within scope of practice and skill set
