RN - Labor and Delivery

Overview

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with High Risk patients

Unit Details

Labor and delivery unit in a women’s hospital
High-risk obstetrical unit
24 beds
Floating may be required to the antepartum unit within Women’s
GE fetal monitors used
Documentation system: Meditech, CPN

Scheduling / Work Expectations

Rotating weekends
Call requirements to be discussed during interview
Night shift schedule
May need to float as needed

Clinical Experience / Procedures

Vaginal deliveries
C-sections
D&Cs
Post-delivery recovery care

Additional Notes

Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate is listed as a unit-specific certification
Experience with high-risk OB is preferred/helpful
