Description
RN - Post Partum/Mom Baby
Location
- Arlington, Texas
Job Type

- 36 hours per week
- 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Postpartum / Mom-Baby unit
- 32 operational beds
- Night shift: 7P–7A
- No on-call requirement
- Floating may include antepartum overflow and L&D recoveries
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Post Partum (1 year of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
Preferred Qualifications
- Mother-baby charge experience
- Late-preterm or transitional newborn experience
Common Unit Responsibilities
- Newborn screenings
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Jaundice monitoring
- Perineal and incision care
- Feeding support
Work Environment
- Patient ratio: 1:3 couplets, depending on mix
- Team-based unit with bedside shift report and hourly rounding
- Works closely with OB, pediatricians, and lactation support
