Description
Operating Room RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse, Operating Room
- Location: Spokane, Washington
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 16 weeks
- Shift: Weekend coverage, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Setting: Short-term acute care, Level II trauma center, Level II pediatric trauma center
- Beds: 629
- Teaching hospital: Yes
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Weekend coverage is required.
- Block scheduling is required.
- Floating between units is not required.
- On-call is not required.
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1.
- 48 hours are not approved.
Role Details
- This role covers an evening weekend OR position.
- The RN must be able to circulate a wide variety of urgent and emergent cases, including ortho and neuro.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year.
- Orthopedics experience.
- Neurology experience.
- NURSYS verification for RN.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- TNCC certification.
- NIH Stroke certification.
- EPIC familiarity is required.
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID.
- Social Security card, as applicable for I-9.
- E-Verify attestation.
- Background check.
- Washington state patrol search.
- Education verification.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years.
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask clearance.
- Tdap within 10 years.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, flu, COVID, and respirator clearance documentation.
Additional Notes
- Parking is free.
- Scrub color for RNs is any color.
