Medical Surgical RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- Weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours may be considered
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a rate differential
- Holiday time off requests are not accepted, though dates may be discussed with the manager
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- May float to other Med/Surg units, ICU units, and ED waiting rooms
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Medical-surgical unit caring for patients with neurological disorders, spinal surgery patients, and some step-down/telemetry patients
- 40-bed unit
- Equipment used includes EPIC and Pyxis
