Description
Home Health Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Durham, North Carolina
- Home health setting
- Day shift, 5x8 schedule
- 13-week assignment
- Possible hire at end of contract
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate home nursing care based on physician orders, agency policies, and the nursing process
- Supervise and evaluate home health aides and licensed practical/vocational nurses
- Visit patients in homes and care facilities
- Manage start-of-care, wound care, and follow-up visits
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Home Health experience within the last year
- 1 year of Home Health experience
- Hospice experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- Experience with Homecare Homebase
- Experience with OASIS
Scheduling and Work Expectations
- Weekend schedule varies by location and profession
- On-call requirements vary by location and profession
- Standard schedule may be 5x8s Monday through Friday
- Average patient load: 5–8 patients per day
- Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
- Travel mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
Charting and Systems
- Must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase and have used it within the last 6 months
- OASIS proficiency is required for RNs
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are the dress code
- Local candidates are accepted
- No guaranteed hours
